Named for its location between the 5th and 6th lines, Between the Lines is a small winery opened by brothers Yannick and Gregory Wertsch to take advantage of large vineyard acreage planted by their parents when the family moved from the Wurttemberg region of Germany in 1998. Since completing studies in Germany and Canada, the brothers have returned home and released a line of well-priced varietals including Vidal, Gewurztraminer and Riesling whites, a pretty Rosé, Pinot Noir plus Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A more expensive range from the 2010 vintage will be released. The brothers offer personalized tours and explanation of the winemaking process.
